Please note that the Association has not visited all the properties for
rent. Those that have not been inspected are marked "not visited" and
those that have are marked "visited". The Association takes no responsability
for these properties ; it has not inspected. Also note that we can vouch
for the state of the property when inspected but cannot certify its remains
that way. If the proposed property does not correspond to its description
then the following procedures can be instigated :
- If the property is classified as a "meublé de tourisme", you must send
a registered letter to the "préfet" and to the "mairie" within 8 days
of beginning the rental.
- If the property is classified as a "gite rural", you should contact
the local authority responsible for the "gite".
- If the property is not classified, you should obtain a "constat d'huissier"
and send your claim to the owner.
In case of a dispute contact the "tribunal d'instance".
Price tariffs for seasonal letting : since the ruling of December 1st
1986 prices are not fixed, but if tariffs appear in publicity brochures
the owners must respect them or they are liable for misrepresentation.
